Dr. Evan Cantini

picture of Dr. Evan CantiniDr. Cantini strives to provide technical expertise and meaningful information to help facilitate patient understanding and sound decision making. This honest, thorough and professional approach combined with his circumspective decision making and composed demeanor were big factors in his being voted "One of Seattle's Top Doctors" in 2006 and 2007 by Seattle Magazine.

Dr. Evan Cantini's premedical education began with the study of comparative anatomy and culminated with a Bachelor of Art's in Zoology at Miami University in Oxford Ohio. He then moved on to Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton Ohio, where he received his Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Cantini's post-graduate training included work with Wright State University affiliated hospitals in the field of Internal Medicine.

Like his colleagues, his passion for improving the lives of others drove him to additional postgraduate training. He completed further education in Rehabilitation Medicine at The University of Washington School of Medicine. Soon after, he began his practice as a specialist in Physiatry. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, diplomat of the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and has been elected a fellow in the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Currently, Dr. Cantini serves as Medical Director of Rehabilitation Medicine for Northwest Hospital and is chairperson of Northwest Hospital's Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Committee. He has begun a home health care company, Comprehensive Home and Companion Services, which provides expertise in rehabilitation and care in the home and local community. He is also the medical director for Anderson House and Rehab Without Walls.

Dr. Evan Cantini with a patientDr. Cantini is the Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington. In this role, he is a lecturer with interest in publishing physician to physician articles.

Since 1985 Dr. Cantini has served as an advisor, consultant, and medical director for skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, community groups, and hospitals.

Personal notes: Dr. Cantini cherishes his roles as husband, father, neighbor, and community member. He enjoys cooking for family and friends, golf, fitness activities and classical arts. He also has enjoyed working with local high school soccer teams to develop a study to aid in the prevention of soccer related injuries.
